THE MEDITERRANEAN DIET AND THE ETRUSCANS

The dining room is set up with:

  • ETRUSCAN style crockery (where compatible with HACCP)
  • KLINE (Etruscan style dining table)
  • wall with fresco reproduction "Tomba dei Leopards"
  • KOTTABOS game

Through an exciting multimedia presentation it will be possible to discover the Etruscan origins of the Mediterranean diet, now a UNESCO heritage site

This will be followed by a visit to our exhibition of reproductions of finds relating to the conservation, cooking and consumption of food in the banquets of the wealthy and in the daily life of the Etruscan people.

The main exhibitions are equipped with QR codes for explanations in English and Italian - max 25 participants – including a recipe card / book

OPTIONAL 1 - Tasting of organic wine and Etruscan focaccia with a short explanation (30 minutes)

OPTIONAL 2 – As above and with the addition of ricotta and pomegranate tart, with a short explanation (40 minutes)

OPTIONAL 3 – Tasting of organic wine terre d'Etruria, Etruscan focaccia and ricotta and pomegranates, with a short explanation and two complimentary cards. All served at the table in the Etruscan-style room* (1 hour). NB. For this option the maximum number of participants is 6

OPTIONAL 4 – Guided tour of the National Archaeological Museum of Arezzo with presentation of the Chimera room set up with our collaboration and the various Etruscan finds with particular reference to the banquet (2 HOURS)
